Our everyday life is increasingly determined by algorithms which chose what suits us – friends, sex partners, travel des- tinations, shoes. Homogenous mixing- and-matching is the winning formula. With «Your Unlikely Friend» the director duo Thea Reifler and Philipp Bergmann turn the tables: They set the space for individual encounters with a person you might not like. The spectator is invited to a face-to- face encounter with someone she/he has never met and probably will never meet again. What will come of these meetings is up to the two people present in the room and remains their secret. (esc)
